Okay second part of my trip! I knew I had to continue writing about it coz if I leave it any longer I’ll soon lose the motivation/inspiration to do it.
So, after going to The Bund, we went for lunch at a Hunan-ese restaurant we had passed by earlier coz it was kinda packed during lunch time and as the Chinese say, ” The more the people, the better the food” So, we went in and settled for a seat in a corner. The dishes on the menu were quite common, nothing out of ordinary. Some of us ordered fried rice, which was okay, while I ordered Szechuan style beef noodles, which was supposed to be hot, but after tasting authentic Chinese food, I’m starting to believe that Chinese locals don’t really eat hot and spicy food. No wonder their complexion is usually close to perfection. =-=

The food tasted not bad but it was the hygiene of the shop owner I was concerned about. When we were ordering our food, the tauke ( a woman ) SPAT ON THE FLOOR. IN THE SHOP. We looked at each other and I felt my stomach do a few somersaults. It was DISGUSTING!!! The Chinese really like to spit, I tell you. Walk on the streets, especially the older ones and you’ll hear the pedestrains spitting non-stop!
They’ll go like ,” Quaaaaaaaaaaaaycccccccckkk Ptooooooooey!” anywhere, anytime, anyone.
Eww.
And the phlegm from their noses would go on the tree barks on the streets, so I was careful not to touch any of the trees in China. I didn’t even have the courage to sit on the stone benches on sidewalks if they looked somewhat…slimed. =-= I’d rather stand than risking my butt!
Okay I’m taking a break from the dirtiness. Let’s move on to things that are more pleasant. Oh, they really have a lot of food stalls on the roads there. But keep in mind not to buy from hawkers who don’t look errr..too clean. Anyway, we bought some from this stall and so far, I’m still alive. ^^

There are two flavours, sweet and salty. There rounder ones are salty ones while the oblong ones are sweet. I had a salty one and a bite of sweet of a sweet one and found mine tasting better =)
After lunch, our next stop was East Nanjing Road, a street with high-end boutiques and shops and eateries and fast-food outlets. I’m not discriminating here but expensive places are always cleaner, don’t you agree with me? And most importantly, less people spit here! *stomach does belly flop again

Lol what the hell is wrong with wordpress I cannot upload pictures!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Will continue later, I’m starving.
